Henshaw revealed that, although she falls under Band A — which is supposed to guarantee over 20 hours of power daily — she’s often left with just two hours of electricity per day.

She questioned the rationale behind the tariff system, arguing that Nigerians are being forced to pay exorbitant rates for barely any power.

Drawing a sharp comparison, Henshaw likened the electricity billing model to a fraudulent Ponzi scheme, referencing the recently collapsed CBEX scheme:
“Is this not CBEX-ing the people?” she asked.

“This banding of electricity is a huge FRAUD! I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Band A is meant to get 20 hours of power but you’re lucky to get 2. That estimated billing is daylight robbery with bazooka guns! I said what I said!”

She further criticized the decision to increase tariffs despite the inability to provide consistent supply, calling it an unjust and exploitative move.
