2. On Thursday, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) questioned Chris Ngige, a former minister in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet. Ngige was interrogated regarding his involvement in contract dealings and job racketeering that allegedly occurred in one of the agencies under his leadership.

3. Dangote Group has refuted reports that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has started lifting Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from its refinery. Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, clarified that the deal with NNPCL is still being finalized.

Clark accused Wike of threatening to incite violence in states governed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

7. A suspect was arrested following an armed robbery attack along the Ife/Osu Highway, where two vehicles were ambushed. The robbers shot a driver and raped a female passenger. A witness from one of the vehicles shared the details of the attack, which took place early Wednesday morning between Ife and Osu in Osun State.

8. The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) expressed concern on Thursday over the current state of the nation and called on President Bola Tinubu to address the economic hardships faced by Nigerians. In a statement from YCE General Secretary Oladipo Oyewole, the group emphasized that although they hope for improvements, the country is currently enduring significant suffering.

9. The Nigerian Army announced on Thursday that troops, in collaboration with other security forces, successfully neutralized several terrorists during a raid on a terrorist base in the Mandara Mountains. The operation led to some terrorists fleeing the base, leaving behind numerous captives.

10. American rapper Dequantes Lamar, better known as Rich Homie Quan, passed away at the age of 33. The Atlanta-based rapper, who gained popularity in 2013, reportedly died in Georgia on Thursday.
