Tragedy In Thailand As Nigerian-British Businessman D!es Following Penis Enlargement Procedure

A 43-year-old Nigerian-British businessman and social media influencer, Igho Ubiribo, has reportedly died following complications linked to a cosmetic penile enlargement procedure he underwent during a holiday in Thailand with his wife.

According to reports, Ubiribo died in March after receiving an injection containing hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at a clinic in Bangkok. Details surrounding his death later emerged during an inquest at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court.

Reports indicate that the businessman developed chest pain and lost consciousness twice while receiving a massage with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, after undergoing the procedure.

He was subsequently taken by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors reportedly diagnosed him with a pulmonary embolism, a potentially life-threatening condition caused by a blood clot obstructing blood flow to the lungs.

Ubiribo reportedly lost consciousness for a second time before medical personnel could carry out a recommended CT scan. Doctors then attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes, but he died in the early hours of March 6.

A postmortem examination conducted in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.

The finding reportedly supported the diagnosis of a pulmonary embolism associated with the injection. Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that Ubiribo died “as the result of a cosmetic procedure abroad.”

His cause of death was recorded as pulmonary embolism resulting from the injection of hyaluronic acid into the penis.

Ubiribo, who reportedly had approximately 185,000 followers on Instagram, was buried in London in May. His funeral was attended by Nigerian music star Davido and other notable personalities.

The case has drawn renewed attention to the potential risks associated with cosmetic penile filler procedures. An NHS andrology specialist and consultant urological surgeon, Professor Vaibhav Modgil, reportedly warned that complications arising from such procedures can have serious and potentially devastating consequences.
