Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to a verbal agreement to sign left-back Andrew Robertson in the summer transfer window, although the deal is said to depend on the club’s Premier League survival.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The Scotland international was previously near a move to Spurs in January, but the transfer collapsed after Liverpool FC failed to secure a replacement. Reports now indicate that Liverpool have confirmed Robertson will depart once his contract expires at the end of the season.

New Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi is understood to support the move, but the transfer hinges on whether the club avoids relegation after slipping into the bottom zone following West Ham United’s 4–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

De Zerbi is set to take charge of his first match when Spurs travel to Sunderland on Sunday. Tottenham are currently enduring a 12-game winless run in the Premier League and sit just outside safety, with a game in hand.

Robertson, who has largely played a backup role to Milos Kerkez this season with 31 appearances mostly off the bench, still holds the Premier League record for assists by a defender, with 60 assists in 189 fewer games than Leighton Baines.

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC forward João Pedro has stated that his move to Stamford Bridge was motivated by his ambition to win trophies.

Pedro expressed satisfaction with his start at the club, noting that high expectations have pushed him to maintain focus and deliver for his teammates. He added that his childhood dream was to play in the Premier League for a major club and that he is determined to make the most of his opportunity at Chelsea.
