Speaking on Monday in Maiduguri during a luncheon with Borno State elders and his schoolmates to celebrate Eid-El-Fitr, the Vice President, represented by Abdulkadir Rahis, the member representing Maiduguri Metropolitan Constituency at the House of Representatives, highlighted the importance of maintaining harmony among Nigerians.

Expressing gratitude for witnessing Eid-El-Fitr, Shettima stressed the need to strengthen the existing unity for collective progress, describing it as a gift for one another.

He reiterated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to implementing sustainable policies and urged citizens to remain patient as the reforms take root. He noted that the endurance taught by Ramadan should guide the nation during the reform process.
