Suspected bandits have killed a woman named Shoni Michael in Kikyau village, Mangu Local Government Area, Plateau State. Charity Jatau, a local resident, confirmed the incident to Punch, stating, “An elderly woman was shot and killed by armed men we believe to be terrorists. Her daughter was also injured. It’s tragic because they were just preparing dinner at around 4:30 p.m. when the attackers appeared and opened fire.”

Residents have condemned the attack and urged security forces to increase their presence in Kikyau and nearby areas to combat the escalating terrorist activities. At the time of this report, the Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, Alabo Alfred, had not yet commented on the incident.
