According to Danladi, while there was an initial case that led to his disqualification from the Taraba State gubernatorial election in 2019, the subsequent appeal to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court resulted in the dismissal of the case as incompetent.

He further clarified that upon the Supreme Court’s findings, he sought to reverse the original Federal High Court decision on grounds of lack of jurisdiction, which the court eventually agreed with, leading to the overturning of its previous verdict on October 15, 2021.

Danladi emphasized that any remaining legal challenges were dropped, and when the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) questioned his candidacy for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship role in Taraba State before the 2023 elections, the case was also dismissed.

Ujah concluded by asserting that based on these facts, it is evident that there is no existing court judgment in Nigeria disqualifying their client from contesting an election or holding any public office.
