During his appearance before the House of Representatives on Tuesday, he expressed concern that the granting of bail to Boko Haram members poses a risk to the lives of security personnel.
Addressing lawmakers, the CDS pointed out that the release of Boko Haram operatives hampers the ongoing efforts in the fight against terrorism.
He raised the issue of arrested individuals being granted bail swiftly, putting security forces at risk and undermining their willingness to make arrests.
The CDS further highlighted instances where the judiciary released ships involved in the theft of crude oil.
