These appointments have underscored his genuine dedication as a He-For-She advocate and a governor who champions gender equality, enabling increased female involvement in policy-making and governance. As he promotes equality, he enhances the well-being of our state and society for all.

The commissioner also extended her congratulations to the newly appointed permanent secretaries, urging them to wholeheartedly embrace their responsibilities and actively contribute to the achievements of the Labor Party-led government. Notably, out of the 24 newly-appointed permanent secretaries, 13 are women.

In a recent development, the Supreme Court issued a verdict concerning Governor Otti’s removal in Abia.

The Supreme Court rejected the appeal filed by Okey Ambrose Ahiwe, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had run against Governor Alex Otti in the March 18 governorship election in Abia State.

Following his defeat by the Labour Party candidate, Ahiwe filed a lawsuit on October 30, seeking to become a party with a vested interest in the contentious ruling of a Kano-based High Court.
