ADC Chieftain Fires Up Northerners, Urges Them To Use Their Numbers Against Tinubu In 2027

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ken Imasuagbon, has urged voters in Northern Nigeria to use their numerical strength to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 2027 presidential election.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Imasuagbon made the call while urging Nigerians, particularly those in the North, to support the ADC presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

The ADC chieftain described Atiku as an experienced politician and bridge-builder who, in his view, possesses the leadership capacity to unite the country and address its economic challenges.

Imasuagbon expressed concern over the rising cost of living, poverty, hunger and political divisions in Nigeria, arguing that the country requires a change in leadership to reverse the situation.

He also highlighted Atiku’s proposal to reopen Nigeria’s land borders with neighbouring countries, including Benin Republic, Niger, Chad and Cameroon, saying the policy could boost legitimate cross-border trade and help reduce the prices of food and other essential commodities.

According to him, reopening the borders would encourage regional commerce, improve the movement of goods and create additional economic opportunities for Nigerians.

Imasuagbon further said Atiku would review the fuel subsidy removal and other economic policies introduced by the Tinubu administration, which he claimed had contributed to worsening hardship and the cost-of-living crisis.

He maintained that Atiku’s private-sector experience and political background would position him to implement policies aimed at rebuilding the economy, reducing excessive tariffs, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities.

The ADC chieftain therefore called on Northerners to rally behind Atiku in the 2027 presidential election, expressing confidence that an Atiku-led administration would promote national unity and improve the economic conditions of Nigerians.

The position expressed by Imasuagbon represents his political assessment and endorsement of Atiku ahead of the 2027 election.
