The conflict, stemming from land disputes between the two communities from September to October of this year, prompted the state government to impose a curfew and deploy security forces to ensure law and order.
After approximately eight weeks of restricted movement, the state government, through a statement by Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment Kolapo Alimi, expressed satisfaction with the prevailing peace in the communities, justifying the decision to lift the curfew.
