JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, revealed this in a statement issued on Sunday, noting that examination notification slips will be available for printing from Monday, June 23.
According to the statement, the first exam session will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m., and candidates are urged to arrive at their respective centres at least one to one and a half hours before the exam starts.
Benjamin explained that the mop-up exam will cover:
-
5,096 candidates who experienced spill-over issues
-
Candidates who failed biometric verification during the main UTME
-
91,742 absentee candidates from both the main and rescheduled exams, who have been granted a special concession under the 2025 UTME
These candidates are to take the mop-up exam at 183 designated centres nationwide. Others not immediately scheduled have been placed on standby.
Additionally, JAMB announced the suspension or delisting of 113 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres over various infractions. Some were penalised for technical failures during the UTME mock and main exams, while others are under investigation for alleged exam malpractice.
The Board emphasized that several centres under investigation for misconduct may face permanent delisting and legal action.
JAMB expressed gratitude to Nigeria’s security agencies—including the State Security Service (SSS), Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)—for their unwavering support in ongoing nationwide investigations into identity fraud and examination malpractice rings.
These efforts have already led to the arrest and prosecution of numerous offenders, including a handful of JAMB personnel, professional exam impersonators, school proprietors, and tutorial centre operators.
