Explosive Revelation: Kanu’s Messages Allegedly Sparked Deadly Attacks On Ex-Presidential Aide, Others
The trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), resumed on Friday at the Federal High Court in Abuja, with new explosive allegations presented by an official from the Department of State Services (DSS).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Kanu, currently facing charges of terrorism and treasonable felony, was accused by the DSS witness of inciting deadly violence through his broadcasts—violence that allegedly led to the murder of several individuals, including Ahmed Gulak, a former Senior Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
Resuming his testimony as the second prosecution witness, the DSS official claimed that Kanu’s sit-at-home directives across the South-East resulted in widespread bloodshed. According to the testimony, victims such as Sergeant Audu Lucas, Private Glory Matthew, and Gulak were not only murdered but also beheaded by individuals allegedly following Kanu’s commands.
The witness said: “They blamed Gulak for going out on a sit-at-home day declared by Kanu. He was beheaded.”
The court also heard that a thorough investigation confirmed the killings were carried out by IPOB members acting on instructions disseminated via Kanu’s Radio Biafra broadcasts.
Furthermore, the DSS witness detailed how Kanu allegedly incited attacks on law enforcement and public infrastructure. His followers reportedly torched police stations in Cele and Ilasa (Lagos) and destroyed nearly 100 BRT buses belonging to the Lagos State Government.
“Kanu encouraged not only the killing of security personnel but also their beheading—actions which were carried out by his followers,” the witness testified, linking him to a pattern of orchestrated violence and destruction.
