Addressing the delay in payments to NASU and SSANU, Mamman clarified that the approval hadn’t been granted yet, emphasizing that ASUU’s payment was a distinct decision and didn’t automatically extend to other unions. However, he assured that efforts were underway to address the issue, stating that if a similar gesture is extended to NASU and SSANU, they might receive half of the payment, considering their strike duration.
Mamman dismissed claims of discrimination against non-academic staff, attributing any oversight to a communication gap rather than deliberate exclusion.
