He acknowledged the Federal Government’s contribution of rice to states but expressed concern about delays in delivering the 20 trucks of rice promised to Gombe State.
Despite these challenges, Yahaya highlighted the state’s commitment to supporting its residents through various relief efforts and investments in sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and human capital development.
Regarding the upcoming nationwide #Endbadgovernance protest, Yahaya emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and recognized the efforts of civil society groups, labor unions, and traders in preserving social order and economic stability. He called for continued collaboration and dialogue to address the current difficulties.
Yusuf Ibrahim, Chairman of the Gombe Network of Civil Society Organizations, also presented a set of demands and requested the governor to provide an inventory of the relief supplies.
