The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Hashimu Dungurawa, has alleged that the resignation of former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, was not of his own volition but a forced removal from office.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Reacting to Ganduje’s resignation last Friday, Dungurawa dismissed the official explanation citing health reasons, insisting it was a cover-up for deeper political issues.

In a media chat in Kano, the NNPP leader claimed that Ganduje’s tenure at the helm of the APC inadvertently served the interests of the NNPP, asserting that the former Kano governor’s actions undermined President Bola Tinubu and the APC’s success.

“Politically, we are not pleased with Ganduje’s resignation because he was, in fact, working in our favour. His conduct within the APC was helping to weaken Tinubu’s chances. Whether intentional or not, Ganduje acted like an enemy of Tinubu and the APC,” Dungurawa said.

He continued, “Ganduje practically sabotaged Tinubu. We believe it wasn’t a resignation at all. Tinubu must have realised what Ganduje was up to, which is why he was suddenly removed.

“If you’re between 50 and 70 years old, it’s normal to have health issues. So why accept the role if you know age is a factor? This is not about illness—it’s because they discovered he was harming the party from within.”

Addressing speculation that Ganduje’s resignation was aimed at facilitating a return for Rabiu Kwankwaso to the APC, Dungurawa dismissed the claims. “That’s not true. If it were about Kwankwaso, Ganduje would have resigned when the video of Kwankwaso at the Villa emerged. It’s just political noise.”

He attributed Ganduje’s ouster to the corruption charges tied to the upcoming Anambra elections, suggesting that some candidates presented incriminating evidence to Tinubu. “It’s his history of corruption that got him kicked out of the party,” Dungurawa alleged.

He concluded by expressing unwavering loyalty to Kwankwaso: “Whatever political decision Kwankwaso makes, we will support him. Whether he joins another party or decides to leave politics entirely, we will stand by him.”
