The governor’s visit aimed to strengthen the already existing cooperative relationship between them and to request the immediate reinforcement of additional armed civil defenders in Katsina State.

This request was prompted by the significant security threats posed by bandits and kidnappers, which have placed a heavy burden on the state’s peace and security.

Governor Radda expressed his concern over the shortage of security personnel in the state, noting that this shortage has hindered the expected progress in addressing insecurity.

He commended Audi for his unwavering dedication, innovative initiatives, and commitment to maintaining peace and tranquility in Nigeria.

Governor Radda also disclosed that Katsina State has trained and engaged approximately 1,500 indigenous individuals to support the efforts of conventional security agencies.

He stated, “I believe that by involving locals in the form of a civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), in conjunction with the conventional security forces, we can significantly contribute to combating insecurity and reducing it to the lowest possible level.”
