Oluwo Breaks Silence: The Truth Behind Alleged Terrorists In His Domain
Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, has dismissed claims of a terrorist group operating in his domain, warning against the spread of false information about the town.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, the monarch addressed a report suggesting that a religious group, Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen, allegedly aimed to weaken Iwo’s security by targeting the Jaysu Security Network.
Oba Akanbi described the reports as entirely false, emphasizing that Iwo remains one of the most peaceful towns in the South-West. He stated that security operatives continue to work closely with the police to apprehend hardened criminals and warned that individuals spreading misinformation about the community could face arrest.
He said, *“The media report claiming the existence of a terrorist group in Iwo is false and unfounded. Iwo remains the most peaceful town in the South-West, thanks to the efforts of the Jaysu Security Network, affiliated with Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen under the leadership of Sheik Dahood Imran Molaasan.
“Imran Molaasan is an international asset who has successfully executed global assignments. He is also a leading educational philanthropist, providing scholarships to indigent students. Jama’atu Ta’awunil Muslimeen operates over 40 schools in Iwo, including the College of Education and orphanages, and has been contributing to the community for over 20 years. Supporting national security and education is not terrorism. No terrorist can enter Iwo — it is peaceful.
“Jaysu Security Network knows every corner of the town and works with the police to arrest criminals. Iwo also has no movement restrictions under ritual pretenses; residents can move freely at any hour, even at midnight. Anyone attempting to place sacrifices at public junctions will be apprehended by Jaysu.
“The enemies of Iwo and its security apparatus are behind these false reports. They are lies. There are no bandits in Iwo, and none can penetrate its security. Those spreading such stories are social media terrorists and bandits, creating tension through falsehoods. Necessary actions will be taken against them.”*
