The decision to expel these members was announced in a statement by the state chairman of the party, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal.
The statement revealed that the State Executive Committee of the party had initiated a disciplinary committee to investigate complaints of anti-party activities against the individuals.
In response to his expulsion, Alhaji Rasaq Salinsile contested the decision, asserting that those claiming to have expelled him lacked the authority and mandate to do so.
Chairman Sooko Tajudeen Lawal explained, “This disciplinary measure was taken in response to allegations of misconduct and actions that brought embarrassment and disrepute to the party.
The Disciplinary Committee conducted a thorough and impartial review of the allegations, and the findings were carefully considered by the State Executive Committee.”
He further stated, “After a comprehensive assessment of the evidence and consideration of the committee’s recommendations, the State Executive Committee has made the challenging yet necessary decision to expel the following members.”
Lawal urged party members to remain focused on their objectives and continue working together to serve the interests of their constituents and the state.
He emphasized the party’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and adherence to its core values, which remains unwavering.
