In a statement released on Friday, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said security operatives received a petition on October 28, 2025, accusing Sammy West and three others of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft, and cyberbullying.

According to Adeh, the suspect was invited several times for questioning but failed to honour the invitations, prompting his arrest in Lagos State under a valid court-issued warrant.

She disclosed that Sammy West was subsequently transferred to Abuja for investigation and was arraigned before a court on November 6, 2025, where he was remanded in prison custody pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.

Adeh emphasized that the Command remains committed to professionalism, due process, and the rule of law.

Her statement read in part:

“Upon receipt of the petition, several invitations were extended to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, which were not honoured. He was arrested in Lagos based on a duly issued arrest warrant from a competent court and subsequently conveyed to Abuja for investigation.

“Following the conclusion of investigations, the suspect was charged to court on November 6, 2025, for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft. He has been remanded by the court pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.”
