In September, their petitions challenging Tinubu’s victory were dismissed by the Presidential Election Petitions Court. Discontent with this decision, the major opposition parties, along with their candidates Atiku (PDP) and Obi (LP), have now approached the Supreme Court in an attempt to reverse Tinubu’s win.

On Monday, the Supreme Court heard the cases, and it was announced on Wednesday that the judgment would be delivered on Thursday (today).

Confirming the Supreme Court’s decision to deliver judgment today, the Director of Information at the apex court, Dr. Festus Akande, stated, “Tomorrow, Thursday has been fixed for judgment on the appeals brought by Atiku and Peter Obi.”

Meanwhile, the APC, the PDP, and the LP have expressed confidence in their respective victories as the Supreme Court prepares to announce its judgment today.

Bala Ibrahim, the APC Director of Publicity, is certain that the apex court will uphold Tinubu’s win, citing the evidence presented during the proceedings.

On the other hand, Kehinde Edun, the National Legal Adviser of the LP, is confident that their candidate, Obi, will emerge victorious and believes that they have presented compelling facts.

Ibrahim Abdullahi, the PDP Deputy National Publicity Secretary, appeals to the Supreme Court to consider the broader implications in its judgment, emphasizing the importance of the decision for the future of the nation.
