Fireboy recalled a moment when he seriously considered starting a small lamp-selling business just to survive.

“Thank God for that (Olamide signing me). I was thinking of selling rechargeable lamps. I met this guy under Ajah Bridge who told me about the business, and I told him I was interested,” he revealed.

Although deeply passionate about music, Fireboy explained that the harsh realities of life forced him to consider other means of livelihood.

“At the time, it felt more dignified. At least people would say you sell lamps. But selling pepper soup? That’s wild, bro. My parents didn’t even know I was doing menial jobs. It was a tough time, but now we thank God,” he added.
