Jos Residents Struggle As Fuel Shortage Intensifies Amidst Standoff Between Marketers And Government....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Dear motorists and citizens of Jos, we regret to inform you of an ongoing petrol scarcity crisis in the Plateau State capital. Due to a recent conflict between marketers and state government officials, filling stations across Jos are currently unable to dispense petrol, leaving many stranded and inconvenienced.

Reports have indicated that a disagreement arose today between the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), the National Transport Owners Association (NARTO), and the State task force on traffic regulations.

It has come to our attention that petrol stations are closed to motorists as per instructions from NUPENG and NARTO, following their conflict with the Plateau government. This unfortunate situation has left many motorists without access to fuel, greatly impacting daily activities and mobility.

The state task force is reportedly enforcing regulations that restrict the movement of trucks and articulated vehicles into Jos city, allowing them to operate only between 9 pm and 6 am. Violation of these regulations results in hefty penalties, with recent incidents involving impounded trucks carrying petrol within Jos metropolis.

In response to these challenges, the government is actively engaging stakeholders to seek a resolution. Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Musa Ashom, emphasized the importance of upholding traffic laws and urged motorists to cooperate during this challenging time.

While efforts are underway to address the situation, we appeal to motorists for patience and understanding. The government is committed to restoring normalcy and ensuring the welfare of all citizens.
