Kano Governor Appoints 115 New Aides, Expanding Aides Roster to 196

The latest appointments, as reported by Daily Trust, were disclosed on Friday and Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sanusi Bature. According to Bature, a total of 115 new appointees have been added to the governor’s team.

Among them, 14 individuals will serve as Special Advisers, 57 will take on roles as Senior Special Assistants, and the remaining 44 will serve as Senior Special Reporters and Special Reporters, all of whom are social media activists.

Prior to these recent appointments, the governor had already appointed 81 individuals as his aides. This included the appointment of 52 aides during a single announcement on August 7, comprising 10 Special Advisers, and 42 Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants….CONTINUE READING

 

Earlier, on June 16, the governor had appointed 14 aides, including seven Senior Special Assistants, three Special Assistants, and four Personal Assistants. Additionally, on July 18, another 15 persons were appointed as Special Advisers by the Governor.

Among the newly appointed aides, two prominent social media supporters of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Abdullahi Ibrahim (known as Kwankwason Tuwita) and Hassan Sani Tukur (known as Noble Hassan), have been assigned roles as Senior Special Assistants for Digital Media and New Media, respectively.

Furthermore, Bala Abubakar, who previously served as a security aide to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been appointed as a Senior Special Assistant on Security (Abuja) by the governor.

The latest appointees have been assigned various portfolios as Senior Special Assistants, including roles related to Political Awareness, Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Kwankwasiyya Media Groups, Reformatory Schools, Teacher Training and Development, Askarawan Kwankwasiyya, Tourism, Butchers and Abbatoir, Environmental Sanitation, Urban Beautification, Grazing Areas, National Assembly Matters, and Women Mobilization.
