During an interview with Channels Television on Monday, Keyamo argued that the Labour Party, which was built around Obi and the Obidient movement, lacks the established political structures necessary to succeed. He further questioned the platform on which the Obidient movement would challenge Tinubu’s re-election, emphasizing that the APC’s solid structures remained intact despite the challenges faced during the 2023 elections, including the naira redesign policy and fuel scarcity. “The APC’s structures held firm, like a house built on solid rock,” Keyamo stated.

Keyamo also highlighted President Tinubu’s strong support base in northern Nigeria, asserting that it would play a pivotal role in securing his re-election. “President Tinubu has more allies in the North than in the South-West,” he noted.

Additionally, Keyamo commented on the defection of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, to the APC, revealing that he had handed over leadership of the party in the state to the governor in a strategic move to bolster the party’s strength for the upcoming election. “Making sacrifices, like ceding leadership in Delta, is secondary as long as it strengthens the APC for the President’s re-election,” he concluded.
