In a statement released on Sunday by Hon. Isah Alhassan, the party chairman for Ofu, on behalf of the ward chairmen, executives, and key stakeholders, it was confirmed that Ubolo is no longer affiliated with the party.

Alhassan accused Ubolo of engaging in anti-party activities leading up to the November 11, 2023, governorship election, claiming he actively supported the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for personal gain.

He urged Ubolo to cease pretending to be a PDP member to gain attention ahead of the upcoming party Congress in Kogi State. Alhassan criticized Ubolo’s lack of political consistency, noting his frequent party-switching, having changed affiliations four times in just four months.

“Your recent behavior aims to disrupt the peace within Ofu PDP, especially since you left for the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Accord Party, APC, and SDP,” Alhassan stated.

Following a recent Court of Appeal ruling affirming Governor Usman Ododo’s election victory, Ubolo has reportedly attempted to organize PDP meetings from his hotel, despite his prior role as Director General of Logistics and Finance for the SDP.

Alhassan accused Ubolo and his associates of plotting to undermine the upcoming Congress by encouraging their members to purchase nomination forms for various positions across Kogi East.

“I, Hon. Isah Alhassan, along with the entire Local Government Executives of PDP, reject your plans,” he concluded.
