The governor’s faction, under the leadership of Hon. Alabi Johnson, claimed that individuals loyal to the Deputy Governor were orchestrating a demonstration in Akure scheduled for this Tuesday.
The purpose of this protest was said to be to create a false image of the Governor as being physically incapable and hidden from the public by his family and associates.
According to Johnson, “This plan involves the mobilization of youths, primarily from Ilaje in Ilaje local government area, who are expected to present a distorted account of Mr. Governor’s health status.”
“This scheme, led by an individual named Biyi Poroye, aims to depict the Governor as being incapacitated and secluded from public view by his family and associates.
Furthermore, they intend to employ the slogan ‘Jara e gba’ to misguide the state’s residents and garner support for actions that may promote discord against the Governor.”
