Earlier today, multiple protests were staged in Oyo State and Abuja over the hardship and bad governance exhibited by Tinubu’s administration in the past months, as there is no hope in sight for those alive, let alone the unborn generation.

PDP's Daniel Bwala Applauds President Tinubu's 50% Transport Cost Reduction, Calls It A Bold Initiative

At the time of filing this report, $1 is currently pegged at ₦1,700 due to the floating of the nation’s currency by President Tinubu’s administration without much consideration and planning. This has led to a surge in the prices of commodities, hunger, depression, increased suicide rates, and skyrocketing insecurity across the nation.

Reacting to the protests, Reno Omokri swiftly took to his social media handle to comment. He stated: “No amount of protest can bring down the exchange rate of the Naira from ₦1600 to $1. Even if Tinubu returns to Nigeria and 130 million Nigerians still spend $20 million daily on MTN, Airtel, and DSTV, the Naira will continue to fall. That money is going to South Africa and India. Meanwhile, nothing is coming from there to us. This is not about gragra. Our typical Nigerian aggressiveness will not work here. There is only one solution.”

He urged Nigerians to use Nigerian-made products despite the surge in the prices of Nigerian-made goods like Heineken, Star, cement, rice, and others.

Take a look at some of the comments seen on his Tweet below:

Khaleepher: “This is the first time a disagree with you, when our Dollar rate is 200 we aint doing all this you’ve mentioned Believe it or not the Government is to be blame.”

Reno Omokri responded to the tweet stating: “This is the ignorance that destroys Nigeria. And we call it sense. The natures was being artificially defended with $1.5 billion monthly. Please research it. If I am lying, expose me. Now that has been stopped. Because Nigeria is broke. And those who used to lend us that $1.5 billion which we used to defend the Naira monthly are also broke. Nobody is coming to save Nigeria. Please fact-check me: The UK officially entered into a recession last week. Japan slipped into recession, too. And the twenty-nation Eurozone is tottering on the edge of recession. Russia is obsessed with its war with Ukraine. America is focused on immigration. And China’s GDP growth is projected to slow down to 4.6% in 2024 from 5.4% in 2023, according to the International Monetary Fund. And for making me repeat what you should already know, I shall block you.”

Kelvin Novo responded: “I vividly remember your protest in London during Buhari’s presidency. You attached all manner of captions to your protest. Since you claim that no amount of protest can impact the dollar rate, what was your aim then? Were you just chasing clout or seeking attention from PMB?.”

Teetalk: “Your President should patronize “Lagos Central Hospital” instead of France hospital and I will take you seriously.”
