He highlighted the challenges the country has faced in providing decent housing for its citizens despite various initiatives over the past 60 years.
Dangiwa emphasized that the housing sector has not yet met the needs of millions of Nigerians for adequate shelter while also contributing to economic growth, job creation, and poverty reduction.
He stated that President Bola Tinubu has tasked him with addressing this issue and outlined a series of housing reform initiatives aligned with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Housing and Urban Development.
The minister further announced plans to engage with state governors across the country to rally support for these housing reforms.
He commended Governor Radda for his achievements in Katsina State and urged the state’s residents to support the administration’s efforts.
Governor Radda affirmed his commitment to providing affordable housing as a priority program to enhance the well-being of Katsina State residents.
He also expressed a desire to collaborate with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development to revitalize cities in the state through urban renewal initiatives and affordable housing projects.
