Iwobi and Bassey have played pivotal roles in Nigeria’s journey to the final stage of the tournament.
Midfielder Iwobi has featured in all six of Nigeria’s matches in the competition, while Bassey has made five appearances.
The Super Eagles are set to face hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the final showdown at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium in Ebimpe, Abidjan, this Sunday.
Silva acknowledged the absence of the two players from Fulham’s squad but expressed his fervent support for their success in clinching the AFCON title.
“Undoubtedly, we’ve been closely following their progress. It’s bittersweet for us. We’ve been without two key players for quite some time now. Nonetheless, we’re rallying behind them for the final,” Silva remarked during a press conference ahead of Fulham’s encounter with Bournemouth.
