Sule elaborated, “Today, we are embarking on the distribution of palliatives to our state’s residents. You have all heard about the N5 billion released by the federal government.
This information is indeed accurate, and the allocation is structured in such a way that N4 billion will be provided in cash to each state, while each state will also receive N1 billion worth of maize.”
He further explained, “Of the mentioned sum, we have presently received N2 billion, with the remaining palliatives expected from the federal government.
Consequently, we have decided to initiate the distribution process to alleviate the difficulties our people are facing.”
Sule emphasized that the distribution would be carried out directly at all polling units to ensure impartiality, devoid of political affiliation.
He expressed remorse for the challenges that the removal of fuel subsidy imposed on the residents and expressed contentment that the palliatives would provide relief.
The governor lauded President Bola Tinubu for conceiving the concept of palliatives and ensuring that both items and cash were disbursed to state governments for implementation.
He pledged that the distribution would encompass all 13 local government areas of the state, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the items as intended.
