He also praised President Tinubu for diffusing tension created by political campaign rhetoric, particularly regarding concerns about a Muslim/Muslim ticket.
In a conversation with reporters in Abuja over the weekend, the NCPC Executive Secretary revealed that he had recently visited the Presidential Villa to convey his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and his administration for their strong support of NCPC, the exclusive facilitator of Christian pilgrimages in Nigeria.
Pam stated, “Last Friday, we briefed Mr. President on NCPC’s activities and mandate, including plans for Christian pilgrimages to Israel, Rome, Jordan, and Greece.
These pilgrimages provide hundreds of Christians with opportunities for prayer retreats, and we are deeply grateful for this administration’s unwavering support.”
Reflecting on the recent election period, Pam acknowledged that certain politicians had stirred up dangerous sentiments and apprehensions by suggesting that Nigeria was on the verge of being converted to a single religion. However, he expressed gratitude that the current administration embraces all religions.
Pam, who also serves as the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the North Central Zone (comprising Plateau State, Nasarawa State, Benue State, Niger State, Kogi State, Kwara State, and the FCT), emphasized that the aggressive use of disinformation and misinformation against Nigeria’s political leadership poses a significant threat to democracy, unity, and peace.
