Police Gear Up For Elections: IGP Orders Deployment Of 220 Operational Vehicles

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, released a statement from Force Headquarters, Abuja, outlining that these vehicles’ distribution aims to ensure a seamless process during the off-cycle gubernatorial elections set for November 11, 2023, in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi States.
The release further highlighted that in readiness for the upcoming elections, the IGP had arranged training sessions for police officers involved in managing election security and sought the government’s approval for their allowances and other essential support to enhance their confidence during operations.
