Uzodinma secured another four-year term after garnering the highest number of votes in the election, totaling 540,308 votes.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came in second with 71,503 votes. The announced results indicated that Uzodinma won in all 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
