Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) in Abuja on Wednesday.

The NSCDC, he emphasized, has established a commendable reputation in addressing pipeline vandalism over the last two years.

With an optimistic tone, Dr. Audi reassured the NMDPRA of the security agency’s ongoing collaboration to achieve effective outcomes.

He further emphasized that concerted efforts are being undertaken to ensure the maximum protection of such facilities nationwide.

At the outset of the meeting, Mallam Bashir Sadiq, the Executive Director of Corporate Services and Administration of the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, commended the NSCDC’s leadership for fulfilling expectations in safeguarding vital national infrastructure, including petroleum facilities.

Sadiq acknowledged the substantial support provided by the Corps and anticipated that the visit would strengthen the ties between these two interconnected government agencies.
